Using iPads in the MFL classroom

I teach at Longfield Academy in Kent which is an ‘Apple’ School. This means that ICT facilities are great, with iMacs around the three plazas and students who have access to iPads.
A lot of our students lease their iPads or mini iPads (year 7) from the school, some of them have bought their own. Students who do have access to an iPad are able to borrow one from their college for lessons if needed.
All teachers also have an iPad and I have tried to learn fast how to make the most of them in my lessons.

Here are a few apps that I have on my iPad and that I use regularly:

I use QR codes to share websites, videos,… with students. Makes it easier to get onto a quizlet or google search. Also can be displayed around the room or outside the room for treasure hunt. Also used them in a mini exhibition to challenge some students with extra quiz or information. I have just started using it for feedback as well.
Virtual reality App, Aurasma can be used to bring your displays to life or to have real-time feedback with yourself coming out of their books talking to them! 🙂
